I can’t believe that Thanksgiving and Christmas have both
already been celebrated, and that the new year is in a few short hours!
We spent Thanksgiving Day with David’s family in San Antonio
and then made a quick trip to Houston for about a day. We hadn’t seen either of
our families since David’s graduation in July. I helped my mother-in-law cook
almost all of the Thanksgiving meal. It was really fun to do with her. She said
she was teaching me so I can cook on my own in the future.
I feel like the month of December is dedicated to Christmas
activities. All of my work events this month were centered around Christmas. On
the personal side, we co-hosted a Christmas party in Roanoke with the
preacher’s family one weekend that was very entertaining. We spent the actual
holiday in Waller (Houston area) with my family.
We had planned to head back home the day after Christmas,
but we decided it would be better to avoid the icy roads in north Texas. I
can’t believe our first Christmas living up here and we missed the full-on
snowfall! We did get to see some still on the ground when we got back Thursday.
David had fun grabbing handfuls and throwing it at me while I was still in the
car.
Here are a few photos from our Christmas adventures:
